بيان صادر عن منظمة حقوق الإنسان في سوريا - (ماف) بشأن انطلاق العام الدراسي.
تُعرب منظمة حقوق الإنسان في سوريا - (ماف) عن قلقها إزاء الواقع التعليمي المتردي مع انطلاق العام الدراسي الجديد، في ظل الظروف المعيشية الصعبة، ونقص المستلزمات، وتضرر البنية التحتية وضعف الخدمات الأساسية، بما يهدد حق آلاف الأطفال في التعليم.
وتدعو المنظمة الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الدولية والجهات المعنية إلى التدخل العاجل لإعادة تأهيل المدارس وتوفير المستلزمات والدعم اللازم، كما تطالب الحكومة السورية المؤقتة بفتح تحقيق شفاف في أسباب التردي ومحاسبة المسؤولين عن التقصير، والعمل على صرف مستحقات الأهالي والفلاحين المتأخرة.
وتؤكد المنظمة أن التعليم حق أساسي للجميع، ولا يجوز أن يتحول إلى امتياز تحكمه القدرة المالية أو الواسطة، كما تشدد على ضرورة احترام الحقوق اللغوية والثقافية لجميع مكونات الشعب السوري، وفي مقدمتها حق الشعب الكردي في التعليم بلغته الأم، والاعتراف باللغة الكردية كلغة رسمية ثانية والنص على ذلك دستورياً.
إن حماية مستقبل الأطفال السوريين تتطلب مدارس آمنة، ومستلزمات كافية، ومعلمين قادرين على أداء رسالتهم، ونظاماً تعليمياً عادلاً وشاملاً بعيداً عن الفقر والتمييز والمحسوبية.

Statement by the Human Rights Organization in Syria - (MAF) regarding the start of the school year.
The Human Rights Organization in Syria - (MAF) expresses its concern regarding the deteriorating state of education as the new school year begins. This situation—compounded by harsh living conditions, a lack of supplies, damaged infrastructure, and inadequate basic services—threatens the right of thousands of children to education.
The organization calls upon the United Nations, international organizations, and relevant stakeholders to intervene urgently to rehabilitate schools and provide necessary supplies and support. It also demands that the Syrian Interim Government launch a transparent investigation into the causes of this deterioration, hold those responsible for negligence accountable, and work to disburse overdue payments owed to families and farmers.
The organization affirms that education is a fundamental right for all and must not become a privilege dictated by financial means or connections (*wasta*). It also emphasizes the necessity of respecting the linguistic and cultural rights of all components of the Syrian people—foremost among them the Kurdish people's right to education in their mother tongue—and calls for the recognition of Kurdish as a second official language, enshrined in the constitution.
Safeguarding the future of Syrian children requires safe schools, adequate supplies, teachers capable of fulfilling their mission, and an equitable, inclusive educational system free from poverty, discrimination, and favoritism.
