بقلوب يملؤها الرضا بقضاء الله وقدره، ويعصرها ألم الفراق، تلقت منظمة حقوق الإنسان في سوريا - (ماف) نبأ رحيل الشخصية الوطنية والاجتماعية البارزة، المغفور له بإذن الله:
عبد الواحد إبراهيم الشيخ عبد السلام بارزاني (الشقيق الأكبر لسيادة الرئيس مسعود بارزاني) والذي فاضت روحه البارية إلى بارئها اليوم الجمعة، 4 أيلول 2026، بعد مسيرة حافلة سار فيها على نهج أجداده العظام؛ فكان سليل القائد الديني والوطني الكبير الشيخ عبد السلام بارزاني، ومثالاً يُقتدى به في التقوى والورع، وعموداً من أعمدة الخير والوئام الاجتماعي والإنساني.
إننا في منظمة (ماف) وأمام هذا المصاب الجلل والخطب الجسيم، نرفع إليكم وإلى عائلتكم الكريمة والمناضلة، وإلى عموم شعب كردستان، أعمق التعازي وأصدق مشاعر المواساة، مشاركينكم اللوعة والأسى.
سائلين المولى عز وجل أن يتغمد الفقيد بواسع رحمته ومغفرته، وأن يسكنه فسيح جناته مع النبيين والصديقين والشهداء والصالحين وحسن أولئك رفيقاً، وأن يفرغ على قلوبكم جميعاً صبراً جميلاً وسلواناً صادقاً.

Ew neviyê rêberê olî û neteweyî yê mezin Şêx Ebdulselam Barzaniyê bû û kesayetiyek mînak a dîndarî û rastgoyî, stûnek qencî û ahengek civakî û mirovî bû.
Em li Rêxistina MAF, li hember vê windabûna kûr û trajediya mezin, ji we, malbata we ya birêz û dilsoz û ji hemî gelê Kurdistanê re, sersaxiyên xwe yên kûr û hevxemiyên xwe yên dilsoz pêşkêş dikin, bi parvekirina xemgînî û xemgîniya we.
Em ji Xwedayê Teala lava dikin ku rehmet û bexşandina xwe ya berfireh bide mirî û wî bigihîne bihuşta herî bilind digel pêxemberan, salih, şehîdan û kesên qenc - ew çi hevalên hêja ne! Bila ew sebir û aramiyê bide we hemûyan.

A message of condolence and sympathy to His Excellency President Masoud Barzani, the esteemed Barzani family,
and the proud Kurdish people across Kurdistan and the world.
With hearts filled with acceptance of God’s will and decree, yet heavy with the pain of parting, the Human Rights Organization in Syria - (MAF) has received the news of the passing of the prominent national and social figure, the late:
Abdul-Wahid Ibrahim Sheikh Abdul-Salam Barzani (the elder brother of His Excellency President Masoud Barzani). His pure soul returned to its Creator today, Friday, September 4, 2026, following a distinguished life lived in the footsteps of his great forebears. He was the scion of the great religious and national leader Sheikh Abdul-Salam Barzani, an exemplary model of piety and devoutness, and a pillar of goodness, social harmony, and humanitarian spirit.
We at MAF, facing this profound loss and great tragedy, extend to you, your esteemed and struggling family, and the people of Kurdistan our deepest condolences and sincerest sympathies, sharing in your grief and sorrow.
We pray to the Almighty to shower the deceased with His vast mercy and forgiveness, to grant him a place in His spacious Paradise alongside the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous—what excellent companions they are—and to bestow upon all of you beautiful patience and true solace.
