بيان صادر عن منظمة حقوق الإنسان في سوريا – (ماف) بشأن حرائق حقول القمح.
تتابع منظمة حقوق الإنسان في سوريا – (ماف) بقلق بالغ الحرائق التي تلتهم حقول القمح في عدد من المناطق السورية، متسببة بخسائر كبيرة للمزارعين الذين استدانوا لتأمين مستلزمات الزراعة على أمل حصاد موسم يعينهم على مواجهة الظروف المعيشية الصعبة.
وتؤكد المنظمة أن حماية المحاصيل الزراعية مسؤولية تقع على عاتق الجهات الحكومية، وتتساءل عن إجراءات الوقاية وخطط الطوارئ والاستجابة السريعة التي كان يفترض توفيرها لمنع تكرار هذه الكارثة التي تعيد إلى الأذهان حرائق عام 2019.
إن استمرار هذه الخسائر، بالتزامن مع الغلاء المتزايد وتدهور الأوضاع المعيشية، يهدد الأمن الغذائي ويزيد من معاناة المواطنين.
وتطالب المنظمة بفتح تحقيق جاد في أسباب الحرائق، وتعويض المتضررين، ووضع خطط فعالة لحماية المحاصيل الزراعية ودعم المزارعين الذين يشكلون أساس الأمن الغذائي في البلاد.

Statement issued by the Syrian Human Rights Organization - (MAF) regarding the wheat field fires.
The Syrian Human Rights Organization - (MAF) is following with grave concern the fires ravaging wheat fields in several Syrian regions, causing significant losses for farmers who had taken out loans to secure agricultural supplies, hoping for a harvest that would help them cope with the difficult living conditions.
The organization emphasizes that protecting agricultural crops is the responsibility of government authorities and questions the preventative measures, emergency plans, and rapid response mechanisms that should have been in place to prevent a recurrence of this disaster, which is reminiscent of the 2019 fires.
The continuation of these losses, coupled with rising prices and deteriorating living conditions, threatens food security and exacerbates the suffering of citizens.
The organization demands a serious investigation into the causes of the fires, compensation for those affected, and the development of effective plans to protect agricultural crops and support farmers, who form the foundation of the country's food security.
